Donate online today or for Missoula Gives on May 2nd & 3rd
Thank YOU for considering a Spring gift toward the health of Montana communities by supporting local farmers and ranchers, access to fresh, local food for all Montanans and farmland conservation projects.
Give online TODAY OR give during Missoula Gives on May 2 & 3rd!
The first $5,000 we raise in April & May will be matched dollar for dollar by our amazing Board of Directors and generous business sponsors!
This year, your Spring donation will go toward:
- Renewing our two signature programs for another FOUR years. Your gift helps to provide matching dollars to federal grants that help to fund our two major statewide programs up for renewal this year: Double SNAP Dollars (DSD) where SNAP EBT customers can double their SNAP benefits at farmers markets and select retail stores across Montana, AND the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program, which provides support for beginning farmers and ranchers through workshops, courses, grant assistance, one-on-one technical assistance, land access support and more!
- Capacity to grow our on-the-ground presence with farmers and landowners to provide land access opportunities, long-term lease agreement support for both farmers and landowners and creative agricultural land conservation solutions for the future of our local food system.
- TWO of our newest programs: 1) Montana Produce Prescription Collaborative (MTPRx) which leads the charge to connect, innovate, improve and implement produce prescription programs across the state where healthcare providers prescribe fresh fruits and veggies to patients with chronic illnesses (ex. Diabetes). Patients are given vouchers from their doctors to use at the farmers market for free fruits and veggies. 2) Farmer Tool Library – providing tools & equipment to beginning farmers to rent and breaking down the financial barriers to trying new equipment before making purchases.
Join us on April 30th from 5-8 pm at Dram Shop Central for our Missoula Gives Pint Night where $1 of each drink sold goes to CFAC!
CFAC believes in a Montana where houses, farms, and ranches thrive together; people are well-fed and food secure; family farms are supported within a community food system; and beginning farmers and ranchers can access agricultural land to feed the rest of us! Donating to CFAC is an investment in the future health of Montana communities. Thank YOU!
