Building a vibrant future for Montana’s farmlands, farmers, and food system.
Our three main program areas work together to ensure that farmlands are conserved, farming remains a viable livelihood, and all Montanans can equally access nutritious, affordable, locally grown food.
Farmland Conservation
To ensure an abundance of locally grown food, CFAC advocates for policies that protect critical agricultural land.Farmer Support
To ensure that this land is actively used for production, CFAC supports new and early-stage farmers in accessing farmland and launching successful farm businesses through workshops, resources, and collaboration with statewide service providers.Food Access
To ensure that farming remains a viable and accessible livelihood, CFAC works to increase the overall market share of local food by growing opportunities for all Montanans to purchase local food, including coordinating the Double SNAP Dollars program and farmers market development.Recent News
