Thank you so much to all who joined us for our last farmer field day of the season at County Rail Farm! Tracy and Margaret did a wonderful job of explaining their choices when it comes to crop selection, and marketing ideas for their operation as well as the pros and cons of CSA shares versus the farm share model they have since adopted. And what an incredible potluck! The food was wonderful and it was so gracious of them to invite us into their home to share a warm meal and some good conversation.
This year, our field days were geared towards people who are just at the beginning of their farm exploration – interns, folks thinking about starting a farm in the near future, and those who are just getting started. We sincerely hope that the tours and workshops were insightful, whatever your particular venture may be.
As a last request, we would be most grateful if those that attended our final field day would take a few minutes to fill out a quick survey to provide feedback on your experience. We have received a couple of responses so far, but the more replies we receive, the more we can improve these tours in the future. Tell us what you thought by clicking here!
And of course, if you would like to stay up to date on the latest happenings at CFAC, sign up for E-news by clicking here.
Thank you again for being a part of Farmer Field Days. Best of luck to all of you and don’t forget, the wheel is your friend!
