Scholarship Nomination and Application Details
The Community Food and Agriculture Coalition (CFAC Montana) is excited to announce a new opportunity! The LGBTQ+ Farmer Scholarship is a $500 scholarship aimed at supporting LGBTQ+ farmers and farm workers in Montana. Funds can be used for a variety of opportunities that could help further your farming career including courses, workshops, educational materials, farm projects, conferences, on-farm experiences, or other opportunities!
Applicants can either apply directly OR be nominated for the scholarship using this form!
Who is eligible to apply or be nominated?
Those who satisfy all of the below criteria are eligible:
· You self identify as LGBTQ+
· You are a farmer or farm worker
· You are based in Montana
Submissions can either be an essay of up to 500 words or a video entry of up to 3 minutes.
During your short video or essay:
- Tell us a little about yourself OR the person you are nominating
AND
- What receiving the scholarship would mean to you OR why the person you are nominating should receive the scholarship.
Please attach your essay or video when requested in the application. Submissions are due on May 23rd. TWO scholarship awardees will be chosen by our selection committee and announced during The LGBTQ+ Center and CFAC’s, Farm Fresh Pride Kick-off Event on June 2nd at Imagine Nation Brewery, 4-7pm.
